Early Dismissals
If you know that your child will have to leave early, please send a note on the morning of the early dismissal. There will be no early dismissals after 2:45 in the afternoon unless you have sent a note with your child prior to the early dismissal. The office will sign an early dismissal permission form; in addition, parents will be required to come in and sign the child out before he/she will be allowed to leave the school. It would be to your advantage to obtain a doctor’s note when your child has an appointment with a doctor or dentist. These should be given to our attendance office upon return.
Transportation Changes
If your child is to go home by any means other than his/her usual way, please send a note so that the teacher will be aware of your plans. The teacher, in turn, will share this note with the front office staff.

Find Your Bus Routes
By simply entering a student's address, a parent/guardian can find the bus number the student will ride, the location of the bus stop, a map of the bus route and approximate pick up times for that route. Find Your Bus Route
Traffic Reminders
Please follow all the rules of the road when driving. Parking is not allowed along any of the red curbs inside of the staff parking lot per fire codes. Parking is also not allowed in the bus circle, as this would pose problems for the KISD bus drivers. Always stay in your vehicle and pull as far forward as possible when loading and unloading students in the car pool line. Thank you for helping us keep our Huskies safe.
Use of Wireless Devices While Operating a Motor Vehicle
The Texas Transportation Code currently prohibits the use of a wireless communication device while operating a vehicle within a school crossing zone. The Legislature has added a new offense to the Transportation Code that prohibits the use of a wireless communication device while operating a motor vehicle on any school property with a crossing zone and while the reduced speed limit is in effect, unless the vehicle is stopped or the driver is using a hands-free device, or there is a specified emergency. This offense was added to address the problem of individuals using wireless devices while driving through school parking lots or driving lanes.
