Hello, my name is Ashlyn Fitch, and I am so excited to be working as the new school counselor this year. I am looking forward to continuing to work with the students and families at Metzler in my new role as the counselor!
A little about my background, I grew up in Spring, and I attended Klein Oak before graduating from a private school in 2004. I am married, and I have two daughters, Alexa and Grace. In my free time, I enjoy shopping with my two girls, reading, and traveling.
After graduating from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, I began working as a 1st grade teacher for HISD before joining the Klein Family a year and half later. I have taught 4th grade reading and writing here at Metzler for the past 5 years. During this time, I received my Master’s Degree in Professional School Counseling from Lamar University in 2018.
It is an absolute privilege to continue my career as a Metzler Husky! I am looking forward to a great 2020-2021 school year.
