Dear Metzler Parents,
Welcome to the beginning of another school year! We are fortunate to
start fresh every fall with new students, new ideas for the upcoming year,
new goals, and a hope for a productive and successful year. I am
always energized by this time of the year with the promise it holds for our
students, and it is a time of anticipation and excitement for the staff.
Last year, we accomplished a great deal as we implemented our goals.
The 2016-2017 school year will build on the projects and goals from last
year as well as put in place several new ideas. This year, we will focus
on making learning visible, student goal setting and self-reporting,
technology integration, analytical and creative thinking, and data that
will drive instruction as we implement district and school goals.
Your involvement in your child’s education is of the utmost importance,
and your input is valued and always welcome. Developing a solid and
mutually-respectful partnership with our community is a necessary
ingredient of the success formula that will propel us even further in the
future. We have a great school and school district, and it is my intention
to continue pushing it forward so that our students receive the best
education possible to compete successfully in the 21st century.
We are here to serve you and your child, so please do not hesitate to
contact Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Vaglienty, or me if we can be of assistance.
During the course of each school day, we are typically not in our offices,
but rather, are in classrooms or engaged in meetings with our faculty
during their planning periods. We will return your email or phone calls in
a timely manner upon return to our offices, as we are always happy to
provide assistance to you. We are looking forward to another
exceptional Husky year.
With Husky pride,
